Communicating is easy. With a few words and pictures we can communicate any message. The trick is to be heard and remembered. Our job as a design firm is to work with clients to refine their message, clarify tone and create a lasting impression.

Gretel was founded by Greg Hahn in 2005 with the goal of creating memorable work across a variety of mediums.

Over the years we have managed to bring together a mix of exceptionally smart, talented people with a variety of strengths and abilities. We are photographers, typographers, illustrators, directors, designers and animators. While we have a variety of influences and our solutions change from project to project our work is consistently noticeable for iconic imagery, uncluttered style and sophistication.

We’ve been honored by the Art Directors Club, the AIGA, the Type Directors Club and the D+AD. We’ve been written up in Armin Vitt’s text book on graphic design, ‘Design Referenced’ as well as Eye magazine and Computer Arts magazine. Our work was shown in the Cooper Union’s ‘Lubalin Now’ show. Greg sat on the board of the AIGA and has juried for Print magazine’s annual design competition.
